International Patient Aftercare Programme

Our care continues after you fly home

The real question international patients ask is not whether the guarantee exists — it is whether anyone will answer once the plane lands. At Taki Dent you leave Antalya with your full clinical records, a written aftercare guide for your specific treatment, scheduled remote reviews that we initiate, and a documented route for working with your dentist at home.

Written records

Treatment summary, implant lot and serial numbers, radiographs, prescriptions.

Reviews we book

Clinic-initiated remote reviews at 1 week, 1 month and 6 months.

Direct clinical contact

24/7 WhatsApp access to the clinical team for the first two weeks, plus your own patient portal.

What you take home with you

Before you leave the clinic you are given your own clinical file — not a generic leaflet. It is what allows any dentist in the world to understand exactly what was done, and it is what makes remote follow-up possible.

Your clinical records

  • Treatment summary — what was done, tooth by tooth
  • Your written treatment plan
  • Implant details: brand, model, lot and serial numbers
  • Restorative materials used (crowns, veneers, bridge)
  • Current radiographs and clinical photographs
  • Guarantee certificate and its terms

Your instructions and contacts

  • Aftercare guide written for your specific treatment
  • Prescriptions and full medication instructions
  • Handover letter for your local dentist
  • Your follow-up dates
  • Direct contact route to the clinical team
  • Login for your case file in the patient portal — patient.offerqo.com

Keep the implant lot and serial numbers. If you ever need work on that implant anywhere in the world, that single line of information tells the treating dentist exactly which system, connection and components to use.

Your follow-up schedule

These reviews are initiated by the clinic — you do not have to book or remember them. They are carried out remotely by WhatsApp message or video call, so you do not need to travel.

When What happens Who starts it
First two weeks Direct WhatsApp access to the clinical team, around the clock, for anything that worries you. You, whenever you need it
1 week Remote review: healing, pain, swelling, medication, diet and hygiene. The clinic contacts you
1 month Remote review: symptoms, bite, how the restorations feel and look, hygiene routine. The clinic contacts you
6 months Remote review of the implants and the completed rehabilitation; radiographs requested where clinically appropriate. The clinic contacts you
Every year Routine check-up and professional cleaning with your dentist at home — the same as for any natural teeth or implants. Recommended, arranged by you

Your exact schedule depends on your treatment and is confirmed by your treating clinician before you leave Antalya. If you return to Antalya within the guarantee period, an in-clinic follow-up examination is free of charge.

Is this normal? A clear symptom guide

The question every patient asks at 2am. Use this to decide whether to wait, message the clinic, or go straight to a local emergency service. It is general guidance, not a diagnosis — when in doubt, contact us.

Usually expected

Common after certain treatments — keep following your instructions.

  • Mild pain or tenderness in line with what you were told to expect
  • Mild swelling or bruising in the first days
  • Slight, controlled oozing shortly after surgery
  • Temporary sensitivity to hot and cold
  • Getting used to the feel of a new bite or temporary bridge

Contact Taki Dent the same day

Message us with photos — a clinician will assess your case.

  • Pain that increases after day three instead of easing
  • Swelling that grows, or is worse than you were told to expect
  • Fever, a bad taste or smell, or discharge
  • An implant-supported restoration that feels loose or moves
  • A crown, veneer or temporary that comes off or fractures
  • Numbness that persists or worsens
  • A suspected reaction to your medication

Go to your local emergency service first

Do not wait for a reply online. Get seen locally, then tell us.

  • Bleeding you cannot control
  • Swelling that affects your breathing or swallowing
  • Swelling spreading to the eye, neck or throat
  • Severe facial trauma
  • Signs of a severe allergic reaction, or loss of consciousness

Remote support is never a substitute for emergency care where you are.

How a problem is handled

You deal with the clinical team that treated you — not a call centre and not a sales agent.

STEP 1

You get in touch

Message the clinic on WhatsApp, by email, or through your case file in the patient portal, with photos of the area — and radiographs if a local dentist has taken any.

STEP 2

A clinician reviews it

The case is assessed remotely against your treatment records — which is why the implant and material details you took home matter.

STEP 3

You are told what to do

Advice, a prescription route, a local examination, or a plan to see us in Antalya — in writing, so nothing depends on memory.

STEP 4

Corrective work

Clinical work covered by the guarantee is carried out at the clinic free of charge. What is and is not covered is set out on the guarantee page.

Working with your dentist at home

Sometimes a case needs someone to look inside your mouth. When that happens, Taki Dent works with your local dentist rather than leaving you to explain the treatment yourself.

With your consent, we send your treatment summary, radiographs, implant system details and the relevant clinical notes by email, SMS or WhatsApp — and we speak to your dentist by phone when the case needs discussing.

What we typically ask your dentist for

  • A clinical examination report
  • A periapical or panoramic radiograph
  • An assessment of the bite and of any mobility
  • Any signs of infection or soft-tissue problems
  • Details of any interim treatment they carried out

Your local dentist is an independent practice: they are not obliged to work under the Taki Dent guarantee, and any treatment they provide is charged by them.

Aftercare and guarantee are not the same thing

Aftercare is the clinical support every patient gets. The guarantee decides who pays when something has to be redone. Here is exactly where the line sits.

Aftercare guidance by topic

Your own written guide is specific to the treatment you had. These articles cover the questions patients ask most often.

Frequently asked questions

Who contacts whom for the follow-ups?

The clinic contacts you. The 1-week, 1-month and 6-month reviews are initiated by Taki Dent by WhatsApp message or video call — you do not have to remember or book them. You can of course also contact the clinic at any point in between; you do not have to wait for a scheduled review.

Is support really available at any hour?

For the first two weeks after treatment you have direct WhatsApp access to the clinical team around the clock — that is the period when acute problems appear. After the first two weeks, messages are answered during clinic hours, and urgent cases are prioritised. In a genuine emergency — uncontrolled bleeding, or swelling affecting breathing or swallowing — contact your local emergency service first rather than waiting for a reply.

What if my local dentist says something different?

Send us their findings and any radiographs. A second opinion is normal and useful — but a dentist who has not seen your treatment plan is working without the implant system details, the material record and the surgical notes. That is exactly why you leave Antalya with all of it, and why we will speak to them directly with your consent.

Where can I see my own treatment file?

In the patient portal at patient.offerqo.com, using the login you are given at the clinic. Your treatment record, documents and correspondence are kept there, so an aftercare question is answered against your actual file rather than from memory — and nothing depends on one person's phone.

I lost my documents. Can I get them again?

Yes. Your treatment records, implant details and radiographs are held in your case file at the clinic and can be re-sent to you or to your dentist. Contact the clinic with your name and approximate treatment date.

Does aftercare cost anything?

No. Remote reviews, assessment of your photos and radiographs, coordination with your local dentist and an in-clinic follow-up examination within the guarantee period are all free of charge. What is not automatic is travel: flights and accommodation for a corrective visit are not included unless the clinic approves support in writing beforehand. The full terms are on the guarantee page.

How long does aftercare last?

The scheduled reviews run through the first six months, which is the period that matters most for healing and integration. After that, the clinical relationship does not end: you can contact the clinic about work we carried out for as long as the guarantee runs — lifetime on implants, 5 years on crowns and laminate veneers.
