Clinical Infrastructure & Technology
at Taki Dent
Taki Dent is a specialist-led dental clinic in Antalya with on-site 3D imaging, digital scanning, guided implant-planning systems, a dedicated surgical theatre, our own digital laboratory, centralised instrument reprocessing and a dedicated recovery room. This page documents the principal clinical systems used at Taki Dent and the role each one has in diagnosis, treatment planning, surgery, prosthodontics, restorative dentistry, hygiene and patient safety.
Imaging & Diagnostics
Planmeca Viso G7
Three-dimensional imaging is performed with the Planmeca Viso G7. The system is used for CBCT imaging, panoramic radiography, cephalometric imaging and 3D facial imaging, allowing the clinical team to assess structures such as bone anatomy, implant sites, nerve position and the maxillary sinuses as part of treatment planning.
Intraoral radiographs are captured digitally using RVG sensors and a PSP plate system, without conventional film processing.
Clinical case documentation is carried out in a dedicated photography room using standardised positioning, macro photography and polarised photography. These records are used for treatment planning, shade and aesthetic assessment, communication with the laboratory and longitudinal case documentation.

Digital Intraoral Scanning
3Shape TRIOS 6 Wireless
Taki Dent operates two 3Shape TRIOS 6 Wireless intraoral scanners. Digital scanning is the clinic's standard impression workflow, producing a three-dimensional representation of the teeth and surrounding oral structures that transfers directly into restorative, implant and laboratory workflows. A full-mouth digital scan can typically be completed within a few minutes, without the material deformation and dimensional changes associated with conventional impression materials.
Digital scans are used for restorative and prosthodontic planning, crowns and veneers, implant-supported restorations, full-arch rehabilitation, smile planning, surgical-guide production, and communication with the own digital laboratory.
Conventional impressions are reserved for situations in which the treating clinician considers them clinically preferable.
Full-Arch Implant & Occlusal Planning
Imetric ICam
MODJAW
Straumann Falcon
Imetric ICam
For selected multi-implant and full-arch cases, including All-on-4 and All-on-6 rehabilitation, Taki Dent uses Imetric ICam photogrammetry. ICam is specifically designed to record the three-dimensional relationship between multiple dental implants across an arch. The resulting implant-position data can be integrated into the digital prosthetic workflow for the design of implant-supported restorations.
MODJAW 4D Jaw Tracking
For complex prosthodontic rehabilitation and cases in which dynamic occlusion is clinically relevant, MODJAW is used to record mandibular movement. Rather than documenting only a static bite position, MODJAW allows the clinical and laboratory teams to incorporate the patient's recorded jaw movement into treatment planning and restorative design — particularly relevant in full-mouth rehabilitation, complex implant-supported restorations, extensive crown and veneer cases, and occlusal reconstruction.
Guided Implant Surgery
Implant cases are planned digitally in three dimensions. Depending on the anatomy and requirements of the individual case, the surgical team can use 3D-printed static surgical guides or Straumann Falcon dynamic navigation, which provides real-time navigation during implant surgery — comparing drill position, angulation and depth with the pre-operative digital plan while the procedure is being performed.
The choice between freehand, static-guided and dynamically navigated surgery remains a clinical decision based on the individual case.
Dedicated Implant & Oral Surgery Theatre
Taki Dent has a dedicated Implant & Oral Surgery Theatre, physically separate from the clinic's three routine treatment rooms. It is used for implant placement, bone augmentation, sinus procedures and other oral-surgical treatments.
W&H Implantmed Plus II
Provides controlled rotational speed and torque during implant osteotomy and placement.
Mectron PIEZOSURGERY Touch
Allows highly controlled, selective bone cutting in osteotomies and sinus-related surgery while helping minimise trauma to adjacent soft tissues.
Our Own Digital Dental Laboratory
Taki Dent operates its own digital dental laboratory, staffed by our own technicians. Digital patient data can therefore move directly from the treatment room to the laboratory without requiring the core digital workflow to be transferred to an external production facility.
The laboratory includes a 5-axis dental milling system, a dental 3D-printing system, Ivoclar Programat CS6 ceramic processing equipment for sintering, crystallisation and glazing, and dedicated CAD workstations.
It produces zirconia and ceramic restorations, provisional restorations, implant-supported prostheses, dental models, surgical guides, and diagnostic and treatment-planning components.
Because the laboratory is our own, the treating clinicians and dental technicians work as one team during complex restorative and implant cases.

Microscopic Dentistry
ZEISS EXTARO 300
A ZEISS EXTARO 300 dental microscope is available for procedures in which magnification and enhanced visualisation are clinically useful. The system provides optical magnification together with additional visualisation modes including fluorescence and cross-polarisation.
It is used selectively for precision restorative and other microscope-assisted dental procedures.
Aesthetic & Soft-Tissue Dentistry
Digital Smile Planning
Digital records, intraoral scans and standardised clinical photography can be combined for digital smile planning and treatment visualisation. This allows proposed changes in tooth shape, proportion and overall smile design to be evaluated during the planning process before definitive restorative treatment is completed.
Fotona LightWalker II
Taki Dent uses the Fotona LightWalker II, a dual-wavelength Er:YAG and Nd:YAG dental laser system. Laser treatment is used where there is a specific clinical indication rather than as a routine substitute for conventional treatment methods.

Professional Dental Hygiene
EMS AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master
Professional hygiene treatments are performed with the EMS AIRFLOW Prophylaxis Master. The system supports Guided Biofilm Therapy protocols using AIRFLOW, PERIOFLOW and piezoelectric instrumentation for professional biofilm, stain and calculus management — rather than a quick scale-and-polish between other appointments.
Instrument Reprocessing & Sterilisation
Taki Dent has a dedicated instrument-reprocessing and sterilisation area organised around a directional dirty-to-clean workflow. Reusable instruments move through defined stages:
Collection → Cleaning and Disinfection → Inspection → Packaging → Sterilisation → Sterile Storage
Dürr Dental Hygoclave 50
Class B steriliser, used together with a Dürr Dental washer-disinfector to maintain separation between contaminated and processed sterile instruments.
DAC Universal S
Automated internal and external cleaning, lubrication and sterilisation of dental turbines and handpieces before reuse.
Single-use clinical materials are discarded after use through the clinic's regulated medical-waste pathway.
IV Sedation, Clinical Monitoring & Recovery
IV sedation is available for appropriately selected patients following clinical assessment. During sedation, patients are observed using multiparameter physiological monitoring appropriate to the sedation protocol.
Emergency equipment available within the clinical environment includes emergency oxygen, suction, resuscitation equipment, emergency medication, a crash cart and an AED.
Following appropriate surgical procedures, patients can be transferred to a dedicated recovery room rather than directly to the general waiting area.
Implant Traceability
Every implant placed at Taki Dent is documented within the patient's clinical record. The recorded information includes, where applicable: implant manufacturer, implant system and model, implant position, diameter, length, reference information, LOT / batch number, and date of placement.
Patients are provided with a digital implant passport containing the identifying information required to establish which implant system and component was placed. This record can also be shared with another dental professional if the patient requires future treatment elsewhere.
AI-Assisted Clinical Workflows
Taki Dent uses Planmeca Romexis with its AI-assisted (NOA) tools within selected diagnostic, planning and documentation workflows — including radiographic and CBCT assessment, identification of areas requiring clinician review, anatomical segmentation, implant planning, treatment visualisation, smile simulation, and clinical charting and documentation.
AI-generated findings do not constitute an independent diagnosis. Clinical interpretation and treatment decisions remain the responsibility of the treating clinician.
Power, Water & Building Infrastructure
Hybrid Power & Backup
The clinic operates with an on-grid hybrid electrical system incorporating mains electricity and solar generation. A Tuncmatik UPS and battery-bank system takes over instantly if mains electricity is interrupted, powering the entire clinic — every treatment room, the surgical theatre, imaging equipment, the digital laboratory and building systems — for up to 4 hours of calculated full-load runtime, so a procedure in progress is never interrupted by a power cut.
Dental Water Management
Dental-unit waterlines are connected to a dedicated water-management system. The clinic also uses building-level water treatment and softening infrastructure together with an amalgam separator for appropriate dental wastewater management.
Ventilation
The clinic uses a heat-recovery ventilation system serving every room in the building, not just surgical areas. Fresh-air supply and extraction are mechanically managed, with heat from extracted indoor air recovered to improve the efficiency of incoming-air conditioning.
