All-on-4 Dental Implants: Transform Your Smile in One Day
Dental Expert
TABLE OF CONTENTS
All-on-4 restores a full arch of missing teeth on just four implants, giving people who have lost most or all of their teeth a fixed, natural-looking bite again. This guide explains how it works, who it suits, and what to expect at Taki Dent in Antalya.
What All-on-4 actually is
All-on-4 is a full-arch restoration in which a complete row of fixed teeth is supported by four implants. The two back implants are placed at an angle to make the most of the available bone, which often avoids the need for bone grafting or a sinus lift. Unlike a removable denture, the bridge is fixed — you do not take it out.
Who it suits
It is designed for adults who are missing most or all of the teeth in one jaw, or whose remaining teeth cannot be saved, and who want a fixed solution. It suits many patients who have been told they have too little bone for conventional implants. A cone-beam CT (CBCT) scan confirms whether four implants can be supported; where the bone is very reduced, All-on-6 may be recommended instead.
The treatment in two visits
Most cases are completed in two visits. On the first, the implants are placed by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon and a fixed temporary bridge is fitted — so you leave with teeth the same day in suitable cases. After healing (usually 3–6 months), you return for the definitive bridge, which is designed and fitted by our specialist prosthodontist, Dr Sadık Taki (Ministry of Health specialty registration 61875). Each visit is roughly 5–7 days; your exact schedule is confirmed before you travel.
Materials and brands
We use internationally recognised implant systems such as Straumann and Nobel Biocare, with a titanium bar and a zirconia or acrylic hybrid bridge chosen to suit your case. The recommended system is always stated in your written treatment plan.
Recovery and living with All-on-4
Swelling, bruising and mild discomfort for a few days are normal after full-arch surgery and usually settle with prescribed pain relief. Eat soft foods while healing, then return gradually to a normal diet. Thorough cleaning under and around the bridge, not smoking, and regular professional maintenance are essential to long-term success.
Risks to understand
Full-arch protocols show high long-term survival in the dental literature, but no treatment is risk-free. Less common but more serious risks include the loss of one or more implants, infection around an implant (peri-implantitis), nerve injury, and — in the upper jaw — sinus involvement. These are minimised by 3D planning and specialist surgery, and any affected implant is treated and replaced where needed.
Guarantee and pricing
Implant components and the bridge are both covered by written guarantees — the implant fixture by the manufacturer, subject to conditions, and the bridge by Taki Dent's own guarantee. Current terms and coverage periods are set out on our guarantee page. Corrective clinical work covered by the guarantee is free at the clinic; travel is not automatically covered. Because the price depends on the materials and any additional procedures, please see our prices page for the current per-arch cost, and request a written, itemised quote.
All-on-4 can genuinely transform both function and confidence. If you would like to know whether it is right for you, contact Taki Dent for a free assessment and a clear, written plan.
