All-on-4 Dental Implants in Turkey (Antalya)

All-on-4 is a full-arch restoration in which a complete set of fixed teeth is supported by four dental implants placed in one jaw. The rear implants are angled to make the most of available bone, often avoiding the need for bone grafting.

Adults who are missing most or all of the teeth in a jaw, or whose remaining teeth are failing, and who want a fixed (non-removable) solution. It suits many patients who have been told they have insufficient bone for conventional implants.

It may not be advisable, or may need extra planning, for patients with uncontrolled diabetes, active gum disease, heavy smoking, recent head/neck radiotherapy or certain bone medications, or severely reduced bone that cannot support four implants. A CBCT-based assessment confirms suitability.

Alternatives include All-on-6 (six implants for extra support), a conventional implant bridge, or a removable full or implant-retained denture. Doing nothing accelerates bone loss. We explain the trade-offs in cost, stability and longevity.

All-on-4 is used when teeth are already missing or cannot be saved. Where individual healthy teeth can realistically be preserved, we discuss keeping them rather than extracting for a full-arch solution.

Usually two visits: the first for implant placement and a fixed temporary bridge, and a second (about 3–6 months later) to fit the definitive bridge after healing. In suitable immediate-loading cases, fixed temporary teeth are placed the same day as surgery.

Swelling, bruising, minor bleeding and discomfort for several days are common after full-arch surgery and usually settle with prescribed pain relief. Temporary changes in speech or eating while adapting to the new bridge are normal.

Less common but more serious risks include failure of one or more implants, infection (peri-implantitis), nerve injury, and — for upper jaws — sinus involvement. Full-arch implant protocols report high long-term survival in the literature, and risks are minimised with 3D planning and specialist surgery.

Success means the implants integrate and support a stable, comfortable, functional and natural-looking fixed bridge. Failure means loss of implant stability, infection or bone loss; affected implants are managed and, where needed, replaced — corrective clinical work is covered by the guarantee.

Initial healing takes 1–2 weeks; implant integration takes about 3–6 months before the definitive bridge is fitted. Most patients resume normal activities within a few days.

Soft diet during initial healing, then a gradual return to a normal diet. Meticulous cleaning under and around the bridge (as demonstrated), no smoking, and regular professional maintenance are essential for long-term success.

Implant components carry the manufacturer’s lifetime warranty (subject to conditions); the bridge has a written guarantee. Corrective clinical work covered by the guarantee is carried out at the clinic free of charge; travel and accommodation are not automatically covered (only by prior written agreement in exceptional cases).
