Full-mouth restoration rebuilds the health, function and appearance of a badly worn, damaged or diseased set of teeth. This guide explains what it involves, how it is staged, and what to expect at Taki Dent.

What full-mouth restoration is

It is a bespoke combination of treatments — which may include implants, crowns, veneers, bridges and gum therapy — planned together rather than as separate procedures. The goal is a stable, healthy, natural-looking bite that chews well and lasts.

Who it is for

It suits adults with multiple missing, broken, heavily worn or diseased teeth, problems with the bite or chewing, or a combination of issues that need a comprehensive, planned approach. Active gum disease and infections are stabilised first.

Do all teeth have to be removed?

No. The plan preserves healthy or salvageable teeth wherever possible and replaces only what cannot be saved. Keeping natural teeth is usually more valuable than replacing them, so we always assess this first.

How it is staged

Full-mouth work is staged over time: often several visits across a few months — preparation and any extractions, implant placement, a healing period, then the definitive restorations. Temporary fixed or removable teeth are provided throughout, so you are never left without functional, visible teeth. Timings vary by case and are set out in your personalised plan, typically several trips of around 5–10 days each.

Who does the work

It is a prosthodontist-led team effort: implant surgery by an oral and maxillofacial surgeon, with planning, design and the definitive restorations led by specialist prosthodontist Dr Sadık Taki (Ministry of Health specialty registration 61875). Restorations use materials such as zirconia and IPS e.max, and implant systems including Straumann, Nobel Biocare, Neodent, Medentika, MegaGen and Osstem.

Recovery and risks

Recovery is staged — soft-tissue healing over 1–2 weeks after any surgery, and implant integration over roughly 3–6 months before the final restorations. The more serious risks mirror those of the individual treatments (implant failure, infection, nerve or sinus involvement) and are minimised by 3D planning, specialist surgery and a staged approach.

Guarantee and pricing

Each component carries its own written guarantee — for example a lifetime manufacturer warranty on implant components and 5–10 years on crowns and veneers, subject to conditions. Corrective work covered by the guarantee is free at the clinic.
