General Anaesthesia & Sedation:
Comfortable, Painless, and Stress-Free Dental Treatment
At Taki Dent, we understand that some patients feel anxious about dental procedures. That's why we offer safe and effective sedation options, including general anaesthesia and conscious sedation, to make your experience as comfortable as possible.

What Is the Difference?

-
General Anaesthesia
You are fully asleep and unaware during the procedure. It’s typically used for complex surgeries, full-mouth implant treatments, or for patients with severe dental phobia. -
Conscious Sedation
You are awake but deeply relaxed. It reduces anxiety and discomfort while allowing you to respond to verbal cues.
Who Can Benefit?

-
Patients with dental anxiety or phobia
-
Those undergoing long or complex procedures
-
Patients with a strong gag reflex
-
Children or adults with special needs
-
Individuals needing multiple treatments in one session
Types of Sedation Available

Sedation TypeDescription
Oral SedationTaken as a pill before treatment (mild to moderate)
IV SedationAdministered through a vein for deeper relaxation
Inhalation SedationLaughing gas (nitrous oxide) – fast and light
General AnaesthesiaFull unconsciousness – performed by anaesthesiologist
Is It Safe?
Yes — all sedation options are performed under strict medical supervision by trained professionals. We assess your medical history, age, and needs to choose the safest and most effective method for you.
Recovery

-
Most patients recover quickly after light sedation and can go home the same day.
-
After general anaesthesia, a short recovery period in our clinic is required. You’ll need an escort to take you home.
